Printable Directions and Map to Borglum's Iris Gardens
From the Thruway (I-90): Headed EAST from Rochester- Take Canandaigua Exit 44, which is east of Rochester, NY.
Follow NY Rte 332 through Canandaigua and turn EAST (left) onto Routes
NY 5 & US 20. Continue east to County Road 5 which only
turns south (right). Co Rd 5 is just after the large
sanitary landfill/recycle center. A road sign shows to Hall. In Hall, at the 4-way STOP sign, turn right
and go straight. Turn right at the
second right (only goes right), which is Austin Road.
From the Thruway (I-90): Headed WEST from Syracuse- Take Geneva Exit 42, which is west of Syracuse, NY. Turn south (right)
onto NY Rte 14 to Geneva and turn west (right) onto Routes
NY 5 & US 20. Continue west to NY Rte 14A (the Tops Market is on
the left and Midas Muffler is on the right at that light) and turn south (left). Hall is approximately 7 miles. At the 4-way Stop
sign in Hall go straight and continue to the second right (only goes right); turn right. This is Austin Road.
From Bath I-86 (NY Rte. 17): Take the western (there are two exits for Bath) Bath exit. Follow Route 54
NORTH to Penn Yan where
you pick up NY Rte 14A. Continue north on Rte 14A to Hall. At the STOP sign turn left
and go straight, then the second right, which is Austin Road.
From Horseheads I-86 (NY Rte 17): Take NY
Rte 14 NORTH to Watkins Glen. Go through Watkins Glen
on NY 14 and up a long hill. At the top of the hill
take NY Rte 14A through Penn Yan. Continue north on
Rte 14A to Hall. At the STOP sign turn left and go straight, then the second right, which is Austin Road.
From Corning I-86 (NY Rte 17): Take NY Rte 414 NORTH to
Watkins Glen. Merge onto NY Rte 14 NORTH (left) in
Watkins Glen. Go through Watkins Glen on NY 14 and up
a long hill. At the top of the hill take NY Rte 14A
through Penn Yan. Continue north on Rte 14A to Hall.
At the STOP sign turn left and go straight, then the second right, which is Austin Road.
From Ithaca NY Rte 79: Follow NY Rte 79 WEST
eventually going down a long hill with Watkins Glen in
sight. Rte 79 eventually becomes NY Rte 414- continue
straight down the hill into Watkins Glen. Turn
right NORTH onto NY Rte 14 and go up a long hill. At
the top of the hill take NY Rte 14A through Penn Yan.
Continue north on Rte 14A to Hall. At the STOP sign turn left
and go straight, then the second right, which is Austin Road.
At Austin Road: Turn right and continue approximately 1 mile. Borglum's house and flower farm are on the right.
During bloom season we have signs up to help guide you. We enjoy having visitors at our gardens and sell plants on
the grounds
in bloom. Our bloom season hours are Sunday-Friday, 8am-8pm. We are closed all Saturdays. If you would like to
visit us anytime other than bloom season, please call first to make sure we are available. Also during bloom season we have
bloom stage information on our answering machine (585) 526-6729.
